Hello! My name is Madaleine Gray, and I am a data privacy and cybersecurity attorney originally from Sydney, Australia. I currently live in the United States, and I am licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Ohio. My practice focuses on data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence matters. I also advise clients on marketing and digital accessibility compliance.
I am a proud graduate of Tennessee State University, where I received my Bachelors degree in Communications and Marketing. After graduating from Tennessee State, I attended Belmont University College of Law to pursue my J.D. degree before passing the Tennessee bar exam and being admitted to practice.
Currently, I work as Legal Counsel at NetJets Inc., the world's leading private aviation company, and I advise the business on matters related to data privacy, cybersecurity, marketing/advertising, and artificial intelligence. Before joining NetJets, I worked as an associate attorney at law firms as panel counsel dedicated to clients experiencing data security incidents such as ransomware or phishing attacks. Before practicing law as a data privacy and cybersecurity attorney, I served as a Judicial Law Clerk on a primarily criminal docket for the Honorable Judge Barry R. Tidwell in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
During law school, I interned for the Nashville Public Defenders, the Law Office of Amanda Gentry, the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office, the State of Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, and the Honorable Judge Angelita Blackshear Dalton. I was also a member and Managing Editor of Belmont's Criminal Law Journal and two of my articles were published in the journal. I also worked on freelance legal blogging projects for lawyers and law firms, writing about anything from criminal law to legal technology.
